How long does it take to receive an absentee voting ballot?
Q. I think I registered to vote in late September. I was waiting to receive any confirmations if I was registered before mailing in those absentee voting applications. But I received nothing, so I decided to send in my application earlier this month. They said the deadline would be Oct 27 to send it in I think. I've been waiting and waiting to see if I would get anything in the mail. I'm a first-time voter. How long do you think it will take to receive? Or do you think I would receive at all? I'm very anxious to receive anything, because I really want to vote. Anyone can relate to this experience? Also.. just curious.. when you find your polling spot by searching up you're zip code.. are these just suggested spots (because they are… [cont.]

A. These ballots are typically mailed out according to when you made the request, so you may be waiting until that final week in October for the ballot. Contact your county board of elections just to make sure you will be receiving the ballot (you never know, your application may be lost in the mail)
