From Google News Search: "Campaigns and Elections" What was Nixon's Southern Strategy in both election campaigns? Q. And what were the religious elements affecting voters' opinions? Asked by Vassal of Ages - Sun Nov 1 10:40:26 2009 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments A. Nixon courted the socially conservative Southern Democrats who were increasingly opposed to the national Democrats, who had become the party of civil rights. Ironically, a party created to fight the Southern Democratic pro-slavery movement and was historically the most progressive on race issues, ended up becoming the party to oppose increasing civil rights measures. The modern day Republican party is basically the old Southern Democratic base. Answered by PhillyGuy - Sun Nov 1 11:12:30 2009 Did you participate in the Elections category during this campaign and election? Q. I did, avoiding the obnoxious questions, answering and asking. Asked by Dinah - Tue Nov 11 10:00:38 2008 - - 13 Answers - 0 Comments A. Yes I did. I love politics and spent a lot of time in elections. Q. And if so, shouldn't they face the same regulations as others. Financial limits etc? hj0 I think you've misunderstood the term "3rd parties." In this case it means people who aren't seeking election themselves. OK, despite having explained it for you, people are still missing the point. First person to show that they understand what a 3rd party is (in this context) gets the 10 points. Asked by BNP Paul - Mon Apr 26 17:50:52 2010 - - 9 Answers - 0 Comments A. Third party in an election means to campaign primarily against somebody or a party but to not actually stand as a candidate themselves, that way they and the opposition cannot be held accountable for the expenses and to a certain extent the behaviour of the none standing campaigner, its an old trick. Whether it should be allowed or not is the 64,000 dollar question, YES for free Speech, NO because its an unfair advantage for the other parties, in any case I wouldn't worry about em, I'm not a BNP voter but I can assure you tw@'ts like that shooting their mouths off from the top of a bus usually have the opposite effect to what they want, huh. I can think of much better ways of spending my time and money on. But I wonder what the reaction… [cont.] Answered by Marc likes Mearkats - Mon Apr 26 22:51:25 2010 From Yahoo Answer Search: "Campaigns and Elections" |
